Birthday Celebrations are held at lunch on the last Wednesday of the Month

Progressive Bingo – Thursday Evenings, doors open at 5pm. Early Bird Games start at 6:15, regular games at 7pm. Upper level dining room.

Casual Bingo – Friday Afternoons 1 to 3pm in the Upper Level Dining room. Not a big jackpot prize, but a whole lot of fun.

Dominoes and Mexican Train – Thursday afternoons in the Upper Level dining room, 1 to 3pm.

Bridge – Wednesdays 9 to 12 Lower Level meeting room

Cribbage – Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 to 3pm Upper Level dining room

Gin Rummy – Mondays 10 to 11:30 Upper Level dining room

Pinochle and 500 – Mondays and Wednesdays 1pm Upper Level dining room

Northwoods Carving Club – 2nd Saturday of the month, 10am to 4pm Lower Level meeting room. Beginners and experts welcome. You can come as early at 10am and stay as late as 4pm. No dues or fees. Open to everyone. Bring a project or come in to learn. Artful People – Fridays 10am to noon, Lower Level meeting room of the Hayward Senior Center. All mediums welcome – just a bunch of nice folks who enjoy getting together and making art.

Yoga with Mary Jo Jurik in the Lower Level meeting room – (must pre-register with WITC). Tuesdays (8:30 to 9:30 and 4:30 to 5:30) and Thursdays (8:30 to 9:30 and 10:00 to 11 am). Hatha Yoga focuses on developing balance, flexibility, and strength. You’ll calm your mind with relaxation and centering as your lung capacity is increased while you practice pranayama (breathing exercises). Yoga will challenge your muscles and realign your body giving you energy and a strong immune system. Mary Jo also offers Emotion Code and Reiki to encourage healing and balance (not affiliated with the Senior Resource Center programs). Strength classes with Jodi Olney in the Lower Level meeting room. Mondays at 9:00 am OR 10:00am (2 classes, 45 minutes each) or Thursdays at 12:30pm (45 minutes). You must pre-register for the strength classes at WITC in Hayward and can do so by calling (715) 634-5167 or stopping in at 15618 Windrose Lane (#106). The classes are offered in calendar based sessions, so they have a start and end date, however you will love them, so you can sign up for numerous sessions if you would like! 😊 The Strength class is a total body workout. We will focus on working larger muscle groups to smaller muscle groups. Many of the exercises will be body weight exercises. However, there are some exercises that use a stability ball, resistance bands, and/or free weights. We will also work on balance and core. Great for all levels!

Silversneakers class – 45 minutes Monday at 11:00am or Thursdays at 1:45pm. The Silversneakers classes are drop-in classes (no registration is necessary) and if you are a Silversneakers member the class is free and if not, it is just $2/class. In the Silversneakers class you have fun and move to through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a small ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. This class is geared toward older adults.

Adult Respite – lower level Respite Room. Wednesdays from 9am to 1pm, $15 per session fee.

Monthly Caregivers Support – 2nd Tuesday of the month, 1pm in the Lower Level Respite room.

Technology Support and Tutoring – with Connie Schields – Tuesdays from 10am to noon. Free, drop in (no reservations needed). Also offered Mondays in Stone Lake at the Stone Lake Wesleyan Church from 10am to noon. This is offered from Labor Day through Memorial Day with no sessions offered in the summer June – August.

Computer Tablet Training (Sip ‘n Swipe Cafe) – offered on an as requested basis – work with a coach to learn how to use the basics on your tablet like email, internet browsing and social media (Facebook) for Android and iPads. Call the Hayward office at (715) 634-3000 to schedule a one hour session with a coach. Also offered in Winter at the Winter Public Library – please call Donna Knuckey at the Winter Public Library at (715) 266-2144 to schedule a session.

AARP Meeting – Hayward chapter meets monthly on the first Thursday of every month in the upper level dining room of the Hayward Senior Resource Center. The Board meeting begins at 1pm, followed by the Membership meeting at 1:30pm. Refreshments are served and topics of interest to seniors are presented at 2pm. Meetings are open to all. Hayward Advisory Board Monthly Planning Meeting – First Wednesday of the month – 10am in the Upper Level dining room.

Senior Resource Center Monthly Board Meeting -Third Wednesday of the month at 1pm in the Lower Level meeting room.
